I thought i would do a little blog about a Reiki (visit to a venue) Part of my job is travelling to venues to have a look around and spot opportunities where a bride and groom can get their form images so my husband and I recently took a road trip to have a look over one of the venues I will be photographing in the summer

As a wedding photographer i like to shoot very informally I understand that your wedding is that YOUR wedding and not a photoshoot, however, my job is to be in the background and capture all the moments unfolding as you and your husband/wife are enjoying them so that in years to come you have a gorgeous portfolio of images to look back on and enjoy.
I love capturing brides dress's and shoes all the little features and making them into beautiful images and I love nothing more then capturing natural expressions, I always find that if I ask someone to pose they will become stiff and awkward. My job is to capture your family and friends and guests in their truest form smiling and happy enjoying your amazing day.
Both I and my assistant Ian take this very seriously after working together for years and capturing several weddings we work very efficiently and well together. Ian has such a wonderful way of helping nervous groomsmen have fun and really enjoy getting some beautiful portraits in a very natural way. I on the other hand love capturing the girlies getting ready and enjoying a wee glass of something sparkling.
During the ceremony usually, Ian and I will change throughout the ceremony our focus will be on the bride and the groom, however, we do love capturing little ones playing, and family members tearing up. After the ceremony, we would encourage everyone to come and take some formal group shots, and then we would ask our gorgeous couple to give us 20-30 mins to create some couple images.
When your thinking about your wedding photography we need you to tell us your vision what is important to you? no two weddings are the same and you may have key shots that are important to you, in the lead up to the wedding you will find we will contact you several times so that we can ensure those key shots are created.
Your wedding is the most important day of your life it's wonderful and special and we are so honoured to be able to capture it as it unfolds in a natural and no intrusive way. It's an honour we do not take for granted.
